Larilyn's Tip of the Week: New Series - Microsoft Word

Okay everyone!  It's time to delve into a new Office application, and this time it's Microsoft Word!

We're going to go ahead and ease into this one nice and slowly.  Maybe it's because I'm in the middle of a move and my brain power can't stretch far enough to get into something intense.  Or maybe it's because I'm too busy perfecting my Jungle Cruise skipper audition tape to be bothered.  You decide....

Do you ever have a Word document that you would like to share with other people so that they can see it, or reference it but.....you just know that there's that one person in the office who is going to change things left and right if they have access to it because they always know better?

If only there was a way to share it with them without letting them edit the document!

You guys should know my sarcasm by now.  If I start with "if only there was a way to", you know there's a way.

And some of you may already know this tip, but I'm surprised how many people don't!  Most people think you need an Adobe program in order to create PDF's.  But I'm here to tell you that you don't!

If you want to create a PDF of your Microsoft document, it couldn't be easier than hitting File, Save As and then selecting a different Save As Type.  It's a drop down menu!  Simply click the arrow and scroll down to PDF.  Then when you name the file and click save it will save your document in PDF format for you!
